AFFStudio

Since 2018, AFFStudio has been training Astoria Film Festival staff and interns to create quality video content for local businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations, with a focus on Queens/NYC based organizations.

AFFStudio is a Workforce Development program where we pay young filmmakers a living wage, to create original media for actual clients such as local businesses and nonprofits. During their time with AFF, youth gain valuable experience by working on a variety of projects with our Program Managers and Executive Director.  AFFStudio also gives our Interns the opportunity to participate in these real-life work experiences, and receive mentoring and training, in production, editing, and in social media content creation careers.

AFFStudio Interns are often HS and College Film Students who are guided in their work as PAs on the shoots or as video editors and come from Bryant HS/Global Kids WLG, SYEP, ACTVF HS, Art&Design HS, Frank Sinatra HS, Bronx HS for the Arts, Hunter College, Queens College, and LAGCC.  If you would like us to work with your student-interns, please contact us as astoriafilmfestival @ gmail.com

AFFStudio Videos can be found on our YouTube Channel, as well as on IG, FB, & LinkedIN
